Joy Pocket

this week I have mostly been enjoying...




sitting up a tree and havin a laugh with some lovely folk I met at the Port Eliot Fest (and yes I really am that unphotogenic, its quite a talent!)

Harnessing some manic kid energy to help me sort out the big fat peas that have ripened en masse!

Another new/old dress (the one on the left) a lovely 70's number I think!? 
*
getting an inspiring and insightful new (old) book on toaism and tai chi
 *
escaping the kids for an evening of dancing and fun
*
clear nights with thousands of stars and fresh cool air
*
hearing the kids tell each other "I love you" (cheesy I know, but very cute!)
*
Banana and chocolate cake (the eating of..)

    Oh nothing cheesy at all about the kids saying I love you to each other! I swoon every time I hear it:) love clear nights and the stars, love your dresses too! Taoism -- love!

    Thankyou Sherry and MJ, my kids have been saying it alot lately, and they are only 2 and 4 so it really makes me smile! I was quite pleased with myself for managing to get up the tree...it probably wasnt too elegant but it was fun! I'll be writing some quotes out of the Tai chi book soon, its really inspiring stuff. Have a great weekend x

    Dancing an fun for an evening sounds fantastic. Clear and starry nights are wonderful. I love this picture of you in the tree. So many yummy colors!

    Thanks for all your comments, you lovely lot! and hearing "I love you" is so much nicer than some of the other stuff they say..ahem My daughter's ultimate cuss at the moment is "I'll never be your best friend again" usually forgotton a minute or so later as they begin playing happily again! oh and Monica - Cornwall is indeed a fantastic place to live!.

    Banana and chocolate cake sounds amazing! Also, you are most definitely not unphotogenic! I love the picture of you up the tree, you look very important. It's like a throne! :) Night skies full of stars sounds so wonderful. I love my city but I don't love light pollution! Hope your weekend is going swimmingly x

    It all sounds so wonderful. Where to start? Cake is always s good place and my son loves to help `snap snap` peas. Clear starry nights are always beautiful. Have a lovely weekend.

    -pollywallydoodle..I did feel a bit like I was (albeit a slightly merry) king of the castle!

    -kitty ..I will dig out the recipe, its scribbled on some scruffy piece of paper that I constantly find and lose again, its called 'forgiving banana cake' because you can change the quantities in it and it still (usually) turns out pretty darn yum!

    -carol..welcome to joy pockets, Im pretty new too and its a really nice newtork of creative and inspiring blogging folk round here!

    -annabella..getting kids involved in the garden is wonderful, Im trying to encourage mine to try different vegetables..its nearly working!
